The demolition of the former Agrobanka building in Pilsen, which was located in the centre of Pilsen next to a high-rise building over sixty metres high. The site between Anglický Waterfront and Pražská Street will soon be transformed into a new multifunctional complex with apartments and shops. As part of the demolition, part of an important work of art was saved - a giant mosaic "Jungle" by academic painter Jiří Kovařík. Thanks to the efforts of the architects and conservators, two fragments of this mosaic have been preserved and will be displayed at the reception after the completion of the new building, with a description and photograph of the original work. This step is an example of the effort to preserve cultural heritage even in times of major urban changes. The new complex, to be completed in the coming years, will provide modern residential and commercial space, while preserving fragments of the history of the city.
